Charles III: Proclamations in the North West of England

 A ceremony commemorating the coronation of King Charles III. Held in the North West of England.  The new monarch was officially declared king in a ceremony held at St James's Palace in London on Saturday. 



 Regional declarations following the national events will take place in places such as Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester. Former Prince of Wales Charles became  monarch after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.  His new position was officially confirmed at a ceremony on Saturday. The proclamation is a historical tradition, dating back to when  people across the country first heard of a new monarch's accession to the throne. It is an opportunity to  reflect on  the

  St John's Square, Blackpool, 3pm 

 Darwen Market Square, 3:30 pm 

 Liverpool City Hall, 1pm 

 Manchester Central Library, St Peter's Square, 1pm 

  Harris Museum in Preston, 1pm 

 The Cheshire East His Council will also make an official declaration at the Council Office in Westfields,  Sandbach.
