Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos have been enduring a disastrous season. The torture for the Broncos Country will soon end, as the regular season is almost over. On Monday’s game against the Rams, the Broncos had their worst performance as they gave up the most points this season, i.e. 51. Moreover, the fans saw another terrible performance from their quarterback Russell Wilson, who had 3 interceptions in that game. After this game, NFL Hall of Famer, Shannon Sharpe went on an epic rant and many Broncos fans agreed with him.
Notably, Wilson promised good things for the Broncos country after a record-breaking move from the Seahawks in the last off-season. However, his performances have been consistently poor; hence, he garnered plenty of criticism from fans and experts. It seems like, Sharpe had his reaching point after Wilson’s latest performance against the Rams.

During the latest episode of the show, ‘Undisputed’, Sharpe and his co-host Skip Bayless showed their immense displeasure regarding the performance of Wilson and the Broncos against the last season’s Super Bowl champion, the Rams.

Sharpe said, “This is Russ, you know, they say oh let Russ cook. They let Russ cook on Christmas, and he burned the goddamn meal and everybody went hungry, thanks to Russ’ cooking. He had a 3.6 QBR… I forgot the game was on. So, I turned to the game, they already down 17-0, I think how, what happened? And they put them screen and Russ has 2 interceptions already.“

Sharpe also warned Wilson that the new owners might not like what they are seeing currently from the team, especially their star player. “Hey Russ, you better get on your grind. You better make sure they know this was a blip and not a trend because they will eat your money next year,“ Sharpe further said.
After his rant, Sharpe apologized to the Broncos’ country; however, he was hopeful that the team will perform better next season. If the performances remain the same, the Hall of Famer talked bout seeing some drastic changes in the team. On the other hand Skip Bayless took a dig at Wilson and said, “Please, I don’t want to hear one more time out of Russell Wilson’s mouth, ‘Broncos Country, let’s ride.’“

With four wins and 11 losses, the Broncos have fired their head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Now they have two games in hand in this regular season and Jerry Rosburg will take charge of the team as the interim coach. It will be interesting to see if Wilson plays the remaining games or if the Broncos decide to shut him down for the rest of the season, as they are already looking ahead to the next season.
