He claimed that he was not intentionally trying to cause a yellow flag and that Busch was simply struggling to pass him due to his improved performance on the track. Lajoie suggested that the RCR driver was used to lapping him, but had to actually race against him this time, which may have contributed to his frustration.
LaJoie said, “Here’s my thing that I don’t understand. I can see him calling me that [pain in the d**k] if he’s lapping me for like the third time and I’m smashing into his door. You’re running 23rd, and I’m running 22nd, I’m not gonna move over and let you go. What are you talking about?”
Lajoie also drew parallels between his experience with Busch and his previous run-ins with Ross Chastain, another driver famous for his on-track run-ins with fellow drivers.
His co-host Skip further added, “We’ve talked about it before that with Ross, guys are used to him running up front and they don’t care if he is there.
“You on the other foot, Kyle Busch isn’t necessarily used to running and having to pass you, because you’re running 5 to 10 spots better than you usually run and he’s running 10 spots worse where he’s used to running. So I mean it’s a mix of both.”

To this, Lajoie jokingly replied, “I took it as a compliment; really did.”
